Is there harmony in nature?
I was killing time in the restroom when I suddenly looked up on the ceiling and saw cobwebs. Usually, my general reaction would be to remove them as it is only adding dirt to the already unpleasantly looking old paint. But for an unknown reason, I hesitated and started to wonder, is that cobweb that troublesome?
And I started to ask myself, should I just remove the cobweb or kill the spider who is creating it endlessly? If I would just remove the cobweb, in just a few days, it will just return. If I kill the spider, aren’t I so brutal? Why do I need to kill a helpless arachnid just because it is messing with the white paint of my ceiling?
I looked down and saw my mosquito-bitten leg. Why is it that I didn’t hesitate to smash that mosquito? Why did I kill an insect whose mere intention is just to feed itself? Why did I punish an insect who is just following its nature?

I went out of the restroom and saw two of my cats joyfully torturing a cockroach. At that same moment, I remember my cat Jeje, lying lifeless in the street, hit by an unknown vehicle.
I sent a message to my veterinarian scheduling three of my cats for their sterilization procedure. While waiting for her reply, I saw an article about a giant panda artificially inseminated for its conservation.
I went to Facebook and saw a video of a crocodile waiting to catch its prey. I scrolled again on my newsfeed and saw a post asking the group members the best medication for a flea-infested dog. Another scroll and a piece of news about the Russian-Ukraine war popped up. I scrolled again and there is still the endless debate on who is the next Philippine president. Citizens desire peace and unity but the comments section said otherwise.
